Sometimes, even a coach can be off their game.  Such was the case Friday night at the Spartan Invite.  I really thought we didn't run that well until I saw the final times.  Sometimes, position in a race doesn't tell the whole story.  Let face it, heat does impact performance.  The girls were off their season's best performances anywhere from 18 seconds, to 2 minutes.  Not great, but not terrible either.  When I look at the "Big Picture", it's just one meet and I fully expect a bounce back meet at the Tolefree/Farley Invite in Midlothian on Saturday.  While there were no PR's on Friday, we still had our Raider of the Meet - Ava Benes and Madelyn Weber!  Congratulations girls!

So what is a successful meet?  To me, it's one where we can see improvement.  We have seen improvement all year long.  For that, we can thank the girls for the effort they put forth in practice, and in meets.  It's measured by how they cheer their teammates, and celebrate the "little things."  Sometimes, I forget about that!  For that, I'm sorry!
